Adriana Calcanhotto is a Brazilian MPB singer, composer, and guitarist from Brazil. Her multi-octave vocal range and signature phrasing are articulated through complex, idiosyncratic, sophisticated compositions that cut across samba, bossa nova, rock, pop, and ballads at will. Enguiço, her 1990 debut album, offered canny covers of tunes by MPB and samba legends.
