Alex Cuba

Alex Cuba (Alexis Puentes) is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Artemisa, Cuba in 1974. The son of a music teacher, Cuba grew up surrounded by music and began performing from a very early age. After marrying a Canadian woman, Cuba moved to Vancouver in 1999, and it was there that his music began to move away from the more traditional aspects of the Cuban sound into a pop, funk, and jazz-fusion direction.
