Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Alex G rose to success in the mid-2010s with her own earnest, lyrical pop songs and acoustic covers, which she released alternately on her popular YouTube channel and a series of albums. Beginning with her eponymous 2014 debut album on through the 2020's Day Job, Pt. 1, she produced a prolific amount of work before retiring the Alex G name and re-emerging as Alex Blue.
