Touching on influences like Harry Nilsson, Van Dyke Parks, and King Crimson, the intimate chamber pop of singer/songwriter Alex Izenberg is colored by vintage Baroque and psychedelic pop as well as a flair for the romantic. He emerged with his full-length debut, Harlequin, in 2016. His third album, 2022's I'm Not Here, drew inspiration from Alan Watts' writings on situational personas, and he turned to familiar influences again on the more collaborative, '70s AM pop-evoking Alex Izenberg & the Exiles in 2024.
