Biography

In addition to giving conventional performances, pianist Alexandra Dariescu is the creator of the innovative multimedia project The Nutcracker and I. That work was specifically created as an outreach from a young artist to audiences new to classical music. Dariescu has performed at several of the world's leading concert halls. Her recordings include Clara Schumann, Edvard Grieg: Piano Concertos (2024). Dariescu was born in Iași, in Romania's Moldavia region, on August 16, 1985.
