Allette Brooks

California singer/songwriter and guitarist Allette Brooks issued a trio of folk-based albums that spotlight her talent for witty lyrics (as well as taking on environmental and social issues), all the while with an emphasis on rhythm. A classically trained singer with a three-octave vocal range, Brooks didn't begin playing guitar until she was well into her junior year of college, studying ecology in Botswana.
