Angel Kaplan

Angel Kaplan is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in the city of Gijón, Spain. He first became known in Spain's underground scene as the leader of power pop group Bubblegum, which formed in 2000. He also was the bassist for Spanish garage act Doctor Explosion and in 2007 became the bass player for American garage icons the Cynics. He made his solo debut in 2008 with the self-released mini-LP Transparent Dayze, which blended the power pop from his Bubblegum output with flourishes of gentle psychedelia and lighter, melodic, folk-flavored pop.
