Biography

Ars Nova Copenhagen is one of Scandinavia's leading chamber choirs. The group specializes in Renaissance polyphony but also performs contemporary vocal music. Ars Nova was heard on the album ... And ... in 2020, performing works by Arvo Pärt, Julia Wolfe, and Caroline Shaw. Ars Nova Copenhagen was founded by Bo Holten in 1979. Holten served as the group's chief conductor until 1996, when Tamás Vetö was voted by the ensemble members to be the next chief conductor.
