AUN are a noisy drone duo from Montreal, consisting of multi-instrumentalists Martin Dumais and Julie Leblanc. Their dark, engrossing music blends elements of shoegaze, industrial, doom metal, and dark ambient, resulting in hypnotic, otherworldly soundscapes that frighten as well as enthrall. AUN began in 2007, releasing several albums on the Montreal-based Oral label that were primarily recorded by Dumais solo.
