Blue Cranes are a creative jazz group with a sometimes-prominent indie rock sensibility, expressed not only in the band's embrace of rock rhythms and keyboard voicings but in the melodic, songlike themes played by saxophonists Reed Wallsmith and Joe Cunningham.
