Blue Ocean

Blue Ocean's grainy, opaque version of noise pop is the creation of Oakland, California-based musicians Rick Altieri and David Stringi. They embraced delay, buzzing distortion, swirling electronics, and churning rhythms in addition to the classic indie pop-styled melodies and progressions that were calling from the deep on their full-length debut, 2023's Fertile State.
