Danish R&B star Burhan G debuted in the early 2000s with a hip-hop-influenced R&B sound that bore a strong resemblance to Justin Timberlake's early solo material. Born Burhan Gen+º Ko+º in Br++ndby Strand, Denmark, he got his professional start as a backing vocalist in the popular Danish pop-rap group Outlandish, when he was featured on the song "Walou" from the group's second album, 2002's Bread & Barrels of Water.
