Biography
A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Canadian singer/songwriter Calvin Love plays a mix of lo-fi, bedroom indie, and lush, darkly romantic pop. After a five-year stint cutting his teeth with various bands in Los Angeles, Love returned to Edmonton to make his first solo effort New Radar, which was released in 2012 by Aquarium Drunkard imprint Autumn Tone Records. Emerging from the same vibrant Canadian scene as contemporaries Mac DeMarco, Alex Calder, and Sean Nicholas Savage, Love established himself as a pop stylist with an atmospheric bent and a keen ear for melody.
