Camp Creek Boys

The Camp Creek Boys formed in the 1930s, but didn't become influential in helping preserve and promote old-time string band music until the folk revival of the 1960s. All of the bandmembers hailed from Surrey County in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains. Their leader was banjo picker Kyle Creed, who was accompanied by fiddler Fred Cockerham and guitarist Paul Sutphin.
