Biography
Formed in Olympia, Washington by vocalist/artist/dancer Mary Jane Dunphe (of the energetic punk group Vexx) and bassist/producer David Jacques, CC Dust combine the danceable punk energy of DFA Records artists, the swooping drama of vintage 4AD bands, and lots of melodic New Order-style basslines. Topped off with the sometimes growling, sometimes angelic vocals of Dunphe, the duo has a sound that's firmly grounded in the past, but given a modern recasting.
