Century Palm is a Canadian indie rock band whose brooding, dance-friendly synth pop owes a debt to post-punks Joy Division and Wire, as well as new wave outfits such as Devo. The group formed in Toronto around Andrew Payne (guitar, synthesizer, voice), Paul Lawton (bass, synthesizer, voice), and Jesse Locke (drums, drum machine), all former and current members or sidemen for numerous regional indie acts.
