Chalk and Numbers

Chalk & Numbers are the Brooklyn-based duo of Sable Young (vocals) and Andrew Pierce (songs and instruments). They draw from classic girl group influences, the Beach Boys, and Brill Building sounds, but keep it modern sounding thanks to the snappy production. Their first EP, He Knew, was released in January of 2013 and got them some notice. Several songs were placed on TV shows (Nashville, Awkward, Inbetweeners) and the EP's title track featured on the soundtrack to the 2012 film "For a Good Time, Call..."
