Biography
Chicago's Charles Rumback is a forward-thinking drummer with a bent toward avant-garde jazz and experimental music. In addition to playing in various jazz configurations, he collaborated with virtuosic folk guitarist Ryley Walker on a series of albums that began with 2016's Cannots.
A native of Kansas, in 2001 Rumback relocated to Chicago, where he found work backing such acts as Via Tania, L'Altra, Ron Miles, Jeff Parker, Charles Gorczynski, Nina Nastasia, Bill MacKay, and others.
