Best known by the stage name of Toro y Moi, Chaz Bundick is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who first attracted national attention in 2010 and is often associated with the rise of the chillwave movement. A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Bundick played in indie rock bands throughout his youth, eventually gaining some recognition for his more electronic sample-based solo work during his college days at the University of South Carolina.
