Biography

France's Chouchane Siranossian is a leading figure in Baroque violin performance and the leader of the Ensemble Esperanza. She also performs traditional violin repertory in a manner influenced by her studies of the Baroque. Siranossian was born in Lyon, France, on July 18, 1984, and grew up in the town of Romans, an hour away. Her father was a noted conductor and a specialist in traditional Armenian music, and she heard the sound of the violin from when she was a very small baby.
