Detroit duo Clinic Stars play a hazy, lightly psychedelic blend of dream pop, shoegaze, and slowcore. First surfacing with two self-released EPs during the early 2020s, they signed to revered Chicago label Kranky and issued their debut album, Only Hinting, in 2024.
Giovanna Lenski and Christian Molik first met online through a mutual friend in 2019. Molik was based in Detroit, while Lenski was in the Chicago area, so at first the two collaborated on music remotely.
