Playing an upbeat, hooky brand of rock they call "slop-pop," Cocktails hail from San Francisco, California. The group was founded in May 2012 by lead singer and guitarist Pat Clos and singer, guitarist, and keyboard player Lauren Matsui. Inspired by vintage power pop and indie rock, the pair soon recruited bassist Rion Rinker and drummer Phil Lantz and began writing material.
