Reaching back in time to a more psychedelic period in metal history, Cormorant blend classic progressive, power, and black metal. Based out of the Bay Area, the band was formed in 2007 by Arthur von Nagel (bass/vocals), Nick Cohon (guitar), and Brennan Kunkel (drums). With a creative drive that matched the intensity of their music, Cormorant set right to work, and by the end of the year released their first EP, The Last Tree.
