Aden guitarist Kevin Barker's solo project, Currituck County, named after a county in North Carolina's Outer Banks region, formed in 2000 in Washington D.C.. The one-man band weaved country, folk, and pop sensibilities together, utilizing guitar, banjo, and melodica.
