A long-tenured Omaha band whose broad sound incorporates elements of post-hardcore, post-punk, emo, and angular rock, Cursive have been a fixture of the American indie scene since the 1990s. Starting with 2000's Domestica, the group had a run of ambitious concept albums on the Saddle Creek label, making their first chart appearance with 2003's The Ugly Organ and reaching a new creative and commercial zenith on 2006's Happy Hollow.
