Following the release of The Lost Tapes, a compilation of forgotten archival recordings from highly influential German experimental rockers Can, founding members of said group Jaki Liebeziet and Irmin Schmidt met with longtime collaborators Burnt Friedman and Jono Podmore at France's Studio Les Rossignols in May of 2011, who had been inspired to create after the flood of excitement surrounding the unearthing of long buried Can material.
