Daniel Gortler

Pianist Daniel Gortler is a major figure in concert life, not only in his home country but also in the U.S. and Europe. He has been active as an educator in both Israel and the U.S. Gortler was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, on April 12, 1965. Showing talent early, he began lessons with Naomi Cohen. Gortler graduated from Tel Aviv's Rubin Music Academy. He went on to the Musikhochschule Hannover in Germany, studying with Arie Vardi, and he had additional lessons from Christoph Eschenbach.
