The Athens, GA, musical collective Dark Meat were formed by singer/guitarist Jim McHugh and bassist Ben Clack after they moved to Athens from North Carolina in 2004 and met guitarist Kris Deason (of Subversivo) and drummer Forrest Leffer (formerly of Carrie Nations) while working at a downtown restaurant.
