Fun-loving R&B singer/songwriter David Brinston was born in Marks, Mississippi in 1959. He grew up performing gospel with his brothers and sisters, and in his early thirties he emerged with his own solo material, signing with Memphis, Tennessee label Jomar Records. Throughout the early '90s he scored several regional hits, with his biggest hit being 1993's "Two Way Love Affair."
