Adopting their moniker from an album by California garage rock revivalists the Mummies, Norway's Death by Unga Bunga craft full-flavored power pop confections that flirt with punk and classic rock. Having found regional success in the early 2010s, the band elicited international acclaim with sugary, hard-hitting efforts like 2016's Pineapple Pizza and 2021's Heavy Male Insecurity.
