Best-known as the guitarist, main songwriter, and leader of Australian proto-punk heroes Radio Birdman, Deniz Tek is the man who brought the high-energy sound of vintage Detroit rock (in the manner of the Stooges and the MC5) to the Antipodes -- which was fitting since he was born and raised in Michigan.
