Biography
A co-founder of outsider house label White Material, DJ Richard received much acclaim for his tense, somewhat bleak take on ambient techno and house. Originally from Rhode Island, he started out as part of the Providence noise scene before getting into dance music. Along with Rhode Island School of Design classmate Quinn Taylor (Young Male), Richard moved to New York City and formed the White Material collective, which also included Galcher Lustwerk.
