Dmitry Yablonsky has gained international prominence both as a cellist and as a conductor. In the former capacity, he is also an enthusiastic chamber player.
Yablonsky was born in Moscow in 1962. His mother was concert pianist Oxana Yablonskaya, and his father, Albert Zayonts, principal oboist of the Moscow Radio and Television Orchestra.
