Biography
A Queens-based indie pop quartet who merge lush tones and noisy textures, Drawing Boards grew out of a recording partnership between singer/guitarist Aaron Pfannebecker (Sisters) and singer/drummer Doug Marvin (Dirty on Purpose). Citing the shared influences of R.E.M., Television's Marquee Moon, and the novels of Joan Didion and Jenny Offill, the duo set about recording their own brand of melodic, nostalgic, and occasionally biting guitar pop.
