A onetime core member of noise pop group Beverly, singer/guitarist Drew Citron was active with post-punk descendants Public Practice when she presented her full-length solo debut, Free Now. Dipping into both noise and dreamy atmospheres, the more personal, self-produced album arrived in October 2020.
After growing up in San Francisco, Citron established herself in the Brooklyn indie scene in the early 2010s as a member of Avan Lava and as a touring member for acts including Frankie Rose and the Pains of Being Pure at Heart. She co-founded Beverly in late 2013 with Rose. Thei...
