Formed in 1981 in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley, Earth Dies Burning was a group of (extremely) young punks who inadvertently pioneered synth punk just by eschewing guitars in favor of cheaper Casio keyboards. All between the ages of ten and 14 when the band started, EDB's initial lineup was made up of brothers Guy and Ron Nachmann, Brad Laner, and another set of brothers, Matt and Jeff Karlsen, though over their few short years the band's lineup often shifted.
