Emily Howard

Composer Emily Howard writes music that is informed by her knowledge of higher mathematics. Despite, or perhaps because of, this orientation, her works have a highly expressive quality and have been widely performed. Howard was born in Liverpool in 1979. She should not be confused with the American chamber musician of the same name. Howard grew up with a dual passion for music and numbers, and she attempted to reconcile the two over the course of her education.
