Emily Kuhn

A jazz trumpeter based in Chicago, Emily Kuhn is known for her lushly arranged modern creative jazz. She debuted as a solo artist with 2020's Sky Stories, backed by her string chamber nonet, Helios. In 2023, she delivered Ghosts of Us, which found her crafting a cocoon-like atmosphere with her smaller quintet. Born in Charlottesville, Virginia, Kuhn gained early jazz mentorship from local trumpeter and professor John D'earth.
