An American singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Emily Saliers is best known as one-half of the Grammy Award-winning folk-rock/Americana duo Indigo Girls. Born in New Haven, Connecticut and raised in Decatur, Georgia, Saliers befriended her future Indigo Girls partner, Amy Ray, in elementary school.
