Biography
Ernesto established itself in New York City as a diverse Latin rock band driven by electric guitars, dual percussion, and a blend of Spanish and English vocals. Comprised of five musicians with Latino roots -- vocalist/guitarist Tito Ernesto Ortiz, lead guitarist Denny Blake, drummer/percussionist Giovanni Palacios, percussionist/drummer Brendan McGowan, and bassist Pemberton Roach -- the band debuted in 2001 with its self-released debut EP, Bonita, and followed with a conceptual LP, The Ballad of Gordo Yepez, a year later. ~ Jason Birchmeier
