E.R.P.

Short for Event Related Potential, E.R.P. is the alias under which Gerard Hanson, aka Convextion, produces lush and melodic electro-techno inspired by Model 500 and Drexciya. The low-profile Texan released the first E.R.P. tracks in 1996 on Sean Deason's Detroit-based Matrix Records, the same label where he debuted a year earlier as the dub techno-leaning Convextion. E.R.P. appeared to be a one-off project until 2005, when Hanson reactivated it on the local Down Low Music with a self-titled EP.
