Esmerine

Canada's Esmerine are an ambitious, Juno Award-winning chamber rock ensemble known for their expansive, largely acoustic and guitar-free instrumental sound, which draws from avant-garde classical and post-punk as well as several traditional styles. Established by cellist Beckie Foon and percussionist Bruce Cawdron, both of whom were members of Set Fire to Flames as well as other Montreal ensembles such as A Silver Mt. Zion and Godspeed You!
