Made up of singers in the Tampa Bay Area, the Florida Mass Choir was established in the 1970s under the direction of Rev. Arthur T. Jones. Recorded in the city of Tampa, the group's debut album, Come Let's Reason Together, was released in 1979 on Savoy Records. Jesus Will Never Say No arrived a year later. Taken from a concert in Orlando, Be Encouraged followed in 1981, and 1983's Lord You Keep on Proving Yourself to Me featured a performance in Gainesville, Florida.
