Nearly three decades after he awed fans of progressive jazz-fusion band Emergency with his Jimi Hendrix-influenced guitar playing, Frank Diez remains one of Germany's top instrumentalists. Performing with German guitarist Peter Maffay's band Atlantis since 1974, Diez has continued to collaborate with ex-Alexis Korner bassist Colin Hodgkinson, with whom he has performed more than one thousand shows and recorded four CDs as the Electric Blues Duo.
