Gamelan Son of Lion

Gamelan Son of Lion is one of the oldest continuous Gamelan orchestras in the U.S. Performing on instruments, built by founding member Barbara Benary, which incorporate steel keys, cans and hubcaps, the ensemble has created a vast repertoire based on the Gamelan traditions of Java, a small island of the Malay Archipelago in southern Indonesia.
