Gel

A spinoff of New Jersey powerviolence group Sick Shit, Gel employs a sound rooted in traditional hardcore punk with elements of D-beat and post-punk. Emerging in 2018, the band comprises vocalist Sami Kaiser, guitarist Anthony Webster, bassist Matthew Bobko, guitarist Madison Nave, and drummer Alex Salter. A pair of EPs, Gel and Violent Closure, appeared in 2018 and 2020, respectively, followed by a split with Romanian noise-punk outfit Cold Brats in 2022.
