Biography
Diné (Navajo) singers/instrumentalists Paul Guy Jr. and Teddy Allen first captured the sounds of their people's peyote ceremonies on 1992's Peyote Canyon. Gourd rattles, water drums and incantations support the healing, celebratory and mind-expanding properties of the ceremonies, and these traits are exemplified on subsequent Guy & Allen releases like Peyote Brothers, Peyote Medicine, Peyote Strength and Diné Peyote Songs. ~ Heather Phares
