Mixing a proudly leftist political outlook with the ferocious punk charge of bands like Stiff Little Fingers, Cockney Rejects, and the Dils along with a classic Mod visual approach, the Oakland-based quartet Hard Left were formed in early 2014 and quickly released two singles, "What's That Sound?" and "Safety."
