English sextet Hey Colossus have crafted their doom-laden brand of melodic noise rock since the early 2000s. Over the years, the members changed, but the heart of the group remained founders Joe Thompson (bass) and Robert Davis (vocals, guitars). Inspired by Krautrock, psych metal, and bands like Fugazi, Faith No More, the Fall, Nirvana, and Nine Inch Nails, childhood friends Thompson and Davis formed many bands in the '90s before eventually creating Hey Colossus in 2003.
