Though very much a group effort, the ecclectic indie rock music of Hockey Night is essentially the brainchild of Minnesota native Paul Sprangers and his boundless well of creativity. Originally hailing from Red Wing, MN, in the northern remoteness of the American Midwest, Sprangers dabbled with four-track recording at an early age, distilling ideas from such late-'80s influences as the Pixies and Public Enemy.
